Lajin, an ancient Chinese exercise, means to stretch one’s muscle-ligaments, adjust
bone and meridians. This old practical method is easy, simple to learn and can be
done anywhere, especially at home.
Why Lajin? By re-conditioning ligaments or tendons, it helps relieve body pains, cleans urinary systems, numbness, pains and swelling in hands and feet whilst reducing neck-lumbar-back stiffness and pain and other cardiovasulcar problems.
Best of all, since this is home exercise, you don’t have to go out and seek a good guru, drive and look for parking spaces, wasting travel time to and fro, pay thru your nose for petrol, parking or guru monthly, when you can do from the comfort of your own home whilst watch television.
There are basically 2 exercises namely,
- Standing posture: raise both hands touching both sides of a door frame and stretch as much as you can. Also stretch left leg forward slightly bend and the other one as straight as possible. Keep stance for 3 minutes and alternate the legs for another three minutes.
- Lie down posture: on Lajin bench to have leg raised at 90 degrees, lean tightly against the pole; one leg after the other for 10-20 minutes each time.
Basically those exercises, if done with the Lajin bench is most effective and offers a pain-free life without medicine. Lajin involving those stretching and concentration moves also will heighten circulation and improve muscle tone.
Basically LaJin allows one to keep bone joints in motion and keep clear of excess fat.

A note of caution, when trying this, you might not be able to do the 90 degree initially. But it takes some time but whatever it is begin, whether you achieved 60 degree or
less, but start and no time 90 degree is a cinch. It takes constant practice.
Of course some people will feel different level of pains in the beginning but is advised to begin gradually. Stretch to the limit and time permissible and comfortable. Even in you need to rest your calf against the plank, by all means do so and close your eyes and have fun!
